The GCP resource detector has been moved to the OpenTelemetry Java Contrib repository.
The code in this repository is not actively maintained or released and it should be deleted. The presence of this code in this repository forces the contributors to unnecessarily maintain its dependencies to ensure successful builds thereby increasing the maintenance burden (See #413).
Sufficient time has passed since its deprecation with last release done on 17th Jan, 2024.
