Change an Explicit Hierarchy Name (Master Data Services)

In [!INCLUDEssMDSshort], you can change the name of an explicit hierarchy.

Prerequisites

To perform this procedure:

To change the name of an explicit hierarchy

  1. In [!INCLUDEssMDSmdm], click System Administration.

  2. On the Manage Model page, select a model from the grid and then click Entities..

  3. On the Manage Entity page, from the grid, select the row for the entity that contains the explicit hierarchy you want to edit.

  4. Click Explicit hierarchies.

  5. On the Manage Explicit Hierarchy page, select the explicit hierarchy you want to rename and then click Edit.

  6. In the Name box, type the updated name of the hierarchy.

  7. Click Save.
