Create governanceInvitation

Create a new governanceInvitation to establish a governance relationship with a governed tenant. Invitations provide an alternative mechanism to governance requests for initiating relationships.

POST /directory/tenantGovernance/governanceInvitations

Request headers

Name Description
Authorization Bearer {token}. Required. Learn more about authentication and authorization.
Content-Type application/json. Required.

Request body

In the request body, supply a JSON representation of the microsoft.graph.tenantGovernanceServices.governanceInvitation object.

You can specify the following properties when creating a governanceInvitation.

Property Type Description
governingTenantId String The Microsoft Entra tenant ID of the governing tenant. Required.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 201 Created response code and a microsoft.graph.tenantGovernanceServices.governanceInvitation object in the response body.
