List apps in chat

List all app installations within a chat.

If the chat is associated with an onlineMeeting instance, then, effectively, the teamsApps installed in the meeting will be listed.

Note

The id of a teamsAppInstallation resource is not the same value as the id of the associated teamsApp resource.

Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. For details about delegated and application permissions, see Permission types. To learn more about these permissions, see the permissions reference.

Note

The following permissions use resource-specific consent:

  • TeamsAppInstallation.ReadWriteAndConsentSelfForChat
  • TeamsAppInstallation.ReadWriteAndConsentForChat

  • TeamsAppInstallation.ReadWriteAndConsentForChat.All
  • TeamsAppInstallation.Read.Chat
  • Chat.Manage.Chat

GET /chats/{chat-id}/installedApps

Optional query parameters

This method supports the $filter, $select, and $expand OData query parameters to help customize the response.

Request headers

Header Value
Authorization Bearer {token}. Required. Learn more about authentication and authorization.

Request body

Don't supply a request body for this method.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 200 OK response code and a collection of teamsAppInstallation objects in the response body.

Example 2: Get the names and other details of apps installed in the specified chat

In the following example, if an instance of an installed app has a bot associated with it, then the details of the bot are returned as well.

Example 4: Get the set of resource specific permissions consented for the apps installed in the specified chat

The following example gets the list of any resource-specific permissions that were granted to an app as part of installation. A $select query parameter is required to show the consented permission set.
