Create ContactFolder

Namespace: microsoft.graph

Create a new contactFolder under the user's default contacts folder.

You can also create a new contactfolder as a child of any specified contact folder.

Permissions

One of the following permissions is required to call this API. To learn more, including how to choose permissions, see Permissions.

Permission type Permissions (from least to most privileged)
Delegated (work or school account) Contacts.ReadWrite
Delegated (personal Microsoft account) Contacts.ReadWrite
Application Contacts.ReadWrite

HTTP request

POST /me/contactFolders
POST /users/{id | userPrincipalName}/contactFolders

Request headers

Header Value
Authorization Bearer {token}. Required. Learn more about authentication and authorization.
Content-Type application/json

Request body

In the request body, supply a JSON representation of ContactFolder object.

Response

If successful, this method returns 201 Created response code and ContactFolder object in the response body.
