These release notes are for the initial version of the iMicroSeq contextual data specification. This is the specification that ultimately supports the structure of the new iMicroSeq data portal as of March 2026. It is anticipated this specification will grow to allow users to capture a wider variety of contextual data information, however not all of this is requried to also be supported by the Portal. A Portal submission ready format will be supported through the DataHarmonizer.

Building on the draft version 0.1 the following changes were implemented:
