When writing JSX-style components in Jac, developers tend to fall back on the React useState pattern since it's familiar. However, Jac has its own native way to manage component state using has declarations, which is cleaner and doesn't require importing from React.

Currently there is no automated way to migrate this pattern - developers have to manually:

• Replace [name, setName] = useState(init) with has name: type = init
• Hunt down every setName(expr) call and rewrite it as name = expr
• Clean up the now-unused useState import
  This is tedious and error-prone, especially in larger components with multiple state variables.

Proposed Solution

Add a new auto-lint rule to JacAutoLintPass that detects the useState pattern and automatically applies all three rewrites when jac lint --fix is run.
Example:

def:pub NameInput() -> JsxElement {
    [name, setName] = useState("");

    def handleChange(e: any) {
        setName(str(e.target.value));
    }
    ...
}

should automatically become:

def:pub NameInput -> JsxElement {
    has name: str = "";
