親愛的 Ruby 社群成員：
我是慕凡，RubyConf Taiwan 的總召。以喜悅與期待的心情，向大家宣佈一個重要消息：2025 年的 RubyConf Taiwan 將與 COSCUP 團隊 合作，於 8 月 9-10 日在台灣科技大學聯合舉辦。
COSCUP 作為台灣歷史最悠久、規模最大的綜合性開源年度研討會，一直以來都與 RubyConf Taiwan 秉持著相似的核心價值。還記得 2021 年疫情期間，我們曾一同舉辦線上版活動，獲得了熱烈迴響。經過深思熟慮與多次交流討論後，我們決定再度攜手合作，舉辦今年的年會。
今年依然非常榮幸地邀請到 Ruby 之父 Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto 擔任 Keynote Speaker。與此同時，也將邀請更多領域的專家分享他們的洞見，完整的 Keynote 陣容將在近期公布，敬請期待！
除了精彩的演講外，今年特別邀請 Ruby 之父的家鄉，「RubyCityMATSUE」的市長--上定昭仁先生作為特別嘉賓參與活動。「RubyCityMATSUE」是日本松江市推動的重要計畫，致力於透過 Ruby 促進地方創新與發展，近年更跨出日本，與各國 Ruby 語言社群以及開源社群的交流，透過這次的參與，將為大會帶來更多元的可能性。
關於投稿，今年將採用 COSCUP 的投稿系統。投稿將於 2025 年 4 月 19 日開始，5 月 10 日截止。本次活動包含主議程在內預計有超過 40 個不同的議程軌，當然，Ruby Track 依然是我們 RubyConf Taiwan 的主場！但同時，也鼓勵大家投稿與參加任何您有興趣的社群議程與主議程，投稿相關請參考投稿說明。
關於報名，和以往的 RubyConf Taiwan 不同，COSCUP 是免費入場，無需報名的，因此希望能得到更多公司、組織、個人的贊助，關於贊助的部份請參考 Sponsorship Program。
這次形式雖然略有變化，但 RubyConf Taiwan 的精神不會改變：保持 Ruby 社群獨有的友善、創新和實用性。活動期間，依然會有專屬於 Ruby 愛好者的社交活動，在第一天的會議結束後，也將舉辦傳統的 Official Party ，相關消息將陸續公告在官網。

Hello Ruby community!
I'm Mu-Fan(@ryudoawaru), the organizer of RubyConf Taiwan. I'm excited to announce some big news: RubyConf Taiwan 2025 will be joining forces with COSCUP, and we'll be hosting a joint event on August 9-10 at Taiwan Tech University.
COSCUP, Taiwan's largest and longest-running open source conference, shares many of the same values as RubyConf Taiwan. You might remember we collaborated on an online event during the pandemic in 2021, which was a great success. After careful consideration and many discussions, we've decided to team up again this year.
We're thrilled to have Ruby's creator, Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto, as our Keynote Speaker again. We'll also be inviting experts from various fields to share their insights. The full lineup of keynote speakers will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
In addition to the amazing talks, we've invited Mayor Uesada Akihito from "RubyCityMATSUE" as special guests. RubyCityMATSUE is an important initiative from Matsue, Japan (Matz's hometown) that promotes local innovation and development through Ruby. In recent years, they've expanded their outreach beyond Japan to engage with Ruby and open source communities worldwide, bringing more diverse possibilities to our conference.
For submissions, we'll be using COSCUP's proposal system. The call for proposals opens on April 19, 2025, and closes on May 10, 2025. The event will feature over 40 different tracks, with the Ruby Track being our main stage! We encourage you to submit to and attend any community or main track sessions that interest you. Check out the submission guidelines for more info.
Unlike previous RubyConf Taiwan events, COSCUP is free to attend with no registration required. We hope to receive sponsorships from companies, organizations, and individuals to support this format. For sponsorship details, please see the Sponsorship Program.
While the format may be a bit different, the RubyConf Taiwan spirit remains the same: friendly, innovative, and practical. We'll still have social events specifically for Ruby enthusiasts, including our traditional Official Party after the first day. More details will be posted on the official websites.
