Design Objective: Minimize Manual Modification to Input Files

Humans are sloppy and make mistakes, so they should do as little as possible. It is also more difficult to keep track of what a person does, reducing the transparency that one can provide into a workflow process and decreasing one's ability to reproduce what was done.
