Purpose

This pull request updates several dependencies and workflow actions across the project to ensure compatibility, improved security, and access to the latest features. The changes affect backend and frontend package versions, GitHub workflow action versions, and infrastructure modules.

Dependency Updates

  • Updated multiple frontend dependencies in App/frontend-app/package.json, including major upgrades for @azure/msal-browser, @fluentui/react, pdfjs-dist, react, and development tools such as eslint, jest, and typescript. This helps keep the codebase current and secure.
  • Upgraded backend package versions in App/backend-api/Microsoft.GS.DPS/Microsoft.GS.DPS.csproj, including Microsoft.Maui.Graphics, Microsoft.Maui.Graphics.Skia, and SkiaSharp.NativeAssets.Linux.
  • Updated shared .NET package versions in App/kernel-memory/Directory.Packages.props, including Microsoft.Extensions.*, System.*, and code analysis/analyzer packages. [1] [2] [3]

CI/CD Workflow Improvements

  • Updated the actions/checkout version from v4 to v5 across all workflow files for improved reliability and security. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
  • Upgraded other action versions in workflows, such as amannn/action-semantic-pull-request to v6, actions/stale to v10, lycheeverse/lychee-action to v2.6.1, and actions/setup-python to v6. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Infrastructure and Deployment

  • Updated the AI search service module version in infra/main.bicep from 0.9.1 to 0.11.1, which may include new features or fixes for Azure Cognitive Search deployments.
  • Increased the HTTP client timeout in the deployment script Deployment/send-filestoendpoint.psm1 from 5 minutes to 20 minutes to better handle large file uploads.
